Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with Freshly Baked Studios.

How long does a project take and what's the process?

Full production (iPhone demo to final master): ~40 hours per song, typically done within a month. Mixing-only projects: 3 days turnaround. Process: Recording → cutting instruments → crafting vocals → tuning/editing → mixing → mastering. I'm 100% involved from whatever stage you're at to get it to the finish line.

How does pricing work?

Mastering-only starts at $200 per song. Mixing, production, and package deals vary based on your project's needs. Hit the 'Book a Call' button above for a custom quote tailored to your specific project and goals.

Do you work remotely or do I need to come to the studio?

Both! Modern advances make remote work seamless. In-person: Better clarity in communication, easier to get ideas across. Remote: No travel time, work from spaces we're both comfortable in, hop on at your convenience. We always do video calls during the process - never just async back-and-forth.

Will my sound get lost in your production style?

Never. What I bring is development of YOUR idea - it came from you, I just take it to the finish line. I'm careful to only enhance what's there, not completely change it. I make more space, action, and energy so your voice can soar. I specialize in pop, rock, hip hop, folk, electronic, and metal.

How many revisions are included?

Mixing projects: 3 revisions (but we'll get it right if we're working together live). Production projects: Unlimited revisions - but I'm certain we won't need many when we're collaborating closely throughout the process.

What file formats do you need from me?

Send me whatever you have! I can work with anything from iPhone voice memos to full multitrack sessions. For best results: WAV files, individual stems/tracks, and any reference tracks that inspire your vision. But don't worry if you only have rough recordings - I specialize in taking demos to world-class productions.

Do you help with songwriting and arrangement?

Absolutely! I'm 100% involved in the creative process from whatever stage you're at. I help with song structure, arrangement, and can take your idea from a rough concept to a fully realized production. If you have a shitty demo, I'll help transform it into a final recording ready for the world to hear.

Do you create original beats/instrumentals?

It depends on your project! I usually tailor everything specifically to the artist's vision and needs. I can create original instrumentals, enhance existing tracks, or work with what you bring. Every project is different - let's discuss what would work best for your specific sound and goals.

What's the difference between mixing and mastering?

I provide both as separate services or together as a package. Mixing: Balancing all the individual tracks, adding effects, creating the sonic landscape. Mastering: Final polish, loudness, consistency across songs, preparing for streaming/distribution. Most projects benefit from both, but we can discuss what your specific project needs.

Do you require a deposit upfront?

Yes, I typically require a deposit to secure your slot and begin work. This ensures we're both committed to the project and helps me block out the dedicated time your music deserves. Payment structure varies by project scope - we'll discuss specifics when we chat about your needs.
